EgoLift ("we", "our", "the app") is a strength tracking application. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

1. Data we collect

When you use EgoLift, we collect:

• Account data: email address and display name when you sign in with Google or Apple.
• Workout data: exercises, sets, weight, reps, RPE, session dates and duration that you log.
• App usage data: feature interactions, crash reports, and performance metrics.
• Device data: device model, OS version, and app version for debugging.

2. How we use your data

• To provide the core service: tracking workouts, calculating PRs, generating coach analysis.
• To personalize the AI coach responses based on your training history.
• To detect plateaus, suggest deloads, and generate weekly reviews.
• To process subscription payments via Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• To improve the app through anonymized, aggregated analytics.

3. Data storage

Your workout data is stored locally on your device (AsyncStorage) and synced to Google Firebase Firestore when you are signed in. Firebase servers are located in the United States and comply with industry-standard security practices.

4. Third-party services

• Firebase Authentication: for sign-in (Google, Apple).
• Firebase Firestore: for cloud data sync.
• RevenueCat: for subscription management. RevenueCat processes purchase receipts but does not access your workout data.
• OpenAI / Anthropic API: for AI coach analysis. Your workout data (exercise history, PRs, RPE) is sent to generate personalized coaching responses. No personally identifiable information (name, email) is included in these requests.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your workout data with advertisers. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed above to operate the app.

6. Data retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email below. Upon deletion, data is removed from Firestore within 30 days.

7. Your rights

You can:

• Export your data at any time via the Export feature in Settings.
• Request deletion of your account and data.
• Revoke Google or Apple sign-in access from your Google/Apple account settings.

8. Children

EgoLift is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
